Modern domestic bathrooms and communal shower
areas have seen significant growth in recent years. Within this
area many different building materials are used, and their suitability
as to wet area applications can vary greatly. As a result,
the number of potential failures due to wet or damp conditions
can increase. Alfix offers a complete system for water proofing.

This new generation
flexible adhesive contains lightweight fillers
and high performance polymer modifiers which
result
in numerous and substantial advantages over using conventional cement based adhesives.
• Reduced bag weight 18Kg as against 25Kg
• Improved coverage per square metre
• Lightweight mix – no trowel resistance
• Extended correction time for tile placement – typically 20-30 minutes
• Ideal for use on anhydrite floors
Take as an example a 250m² flooring
project, using a 10x10mm notched trowel. With
new Letfix extra you will require:
550Kg = approx 30 bags (each 18Kg)
A conventional Alfix flexible
adhesive such as Combifix would use: 1125Kg =
45 bags (each 25Kg)

| Tanking
'Starter Pack' |
By popular
demand we have introduced a boxed tanking
kit containing sufficient Alfix items to
tank a total area of approximately 6m2. The
pack contains 1 litre Alfix primer, 10m Alfix
seal strip, Alfix drain mat, 10kg tub of
2K Quick sealing membrane together with tanking
brochure and drainage poster. For
tanked areas larger than 6m2, the Alfix individual
tanking products should be specified as curtrently
advised.
